From an estate - the maker of the stand was a sailor and constructed many pieces for his boat. This was likely one of them. The clock does need repair - it does not work.
According to anotherer the case also has some issues. However we have priced this for final sale and there are explicitly no returns. We believe the value on this piece is for parts, for steam punk jewelry, for repurposing projects. On that basis please don't expect much else on this item- we've already been burned once by someone with entirely unreasonable expectations for a piece that was only ever intended for repurposing projects.
