— We are a small green boutique doing our best to support an entire community of students working their way through college, single moms, old grannies, people recovering from various misfortunes in life, and just trying to figure out how to pay the month's bills, or put food on the table, or keep a shelter over their head and not become homeless. Your purchase helps support our mission to create new jobs. (we are NOT a nonprofit and we DO pay hefty taxes to our governments as a result). If you make an offer that is under our wholesale and labor costs, we will decline, because, again, our mission is to create jobs and not destroy them. If you need a bargain basement deal, we're not the seller for you. If you want to support artists and struggling people, and help upcycle, recycle, and keep great items out of the landfill, that's us! But please don't ask us to go against our policies and mission. Also, if you should find ANY issue with the item you purchase, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE contact us directly to resolve. We can resolve ANY issue you have directly, without your filing any kind of official form. In most cases, we can be even more generous when you contact us directly than when you file those pesky forms. PLEASE HELP US stay in business and creating new jobs by doing this. We truly appreciate your consideration, and thank you for reading this notice. 

ABOUT MEASUREMENTS 
— If you don't know your measurements, we recommend using a tape measure. If you don't have a tape measure, you can lay a garment that fits you well on a flat surface and measure it with a standard ruler. 
— The measurements provided in this listing are approximate within ~1". Please contact us before making a purchase if you're between sizes or you have concerns about the fit. 
— If you are purchasing outerwear and plan on wearing thick layers underneath (e.g., sweaters, thermals), please make an allowance of an additional 1/2" to 1" in chest, shoulder, and waist measurements. 

ABOUT SHIPPING & DISCOUNTS 
— If you feel that the cost of shipping for a given item is high, please contact us for an exact shipping quote before making a purchase. 
— Please note that we are located in New York. If you live on the opposite side of the country or overseas, shipping can be costly! We're not happy about that either. Contact us and we can try to work something out! 
— We can combine shipping, and (possibly) expedite/rush. As always, contact us! 
— If you feel you need a discount, use our "make best offer button". Please ask for only ONE discount - that is, we will allow for a discount on the purchase price, or on shipping, but not on both. If the shipping seems too high, it could be that the weight was recorded incorrectly and that can be adjusted. But please discuss all discounts in advance of making your offer. Once we accept your offer, all pricing for invoice purposes are final.

ABOUT OUR PURPOSE:

We operate with a strong social  mission - to respect Human Rights in Business, and  we operate with the mission  to create jobs.   We've been doing this for years.  We manage by the numbers.  We know exactly what it costs in labor and the cost of materials to get a product to you.  If you do not want to pay full fair price for the labor and artisans' products, then we are not the place to shop.   RESPECT THE LABOR INVOLVED.  RESPECT THE COST TO PRODUCE THE GOODS.  This is just good practice and helps us keep creating new jobs.

ABOUT RETURNS 
— Our elves do their best to describe the COLORS they see, given the age of their eyes, and the technical digitization tools at their disposal. HOWEVER, even color is subjective. We had someone disagree with our description of 'brick red', despite the fact that bricks DO come in different shades. SO, for that reason, and because eyes, computers, smart phones, and personal opinions affect shades and hues - we will NOT accept returns under ANY circumstances because you disagree with how we describe the shade of the color. You might think it's more purple than blue, but color is subjective, and we all use different scales to judge color (Pantone, etc.) SO NO RETURNS BASED ON COLOR."
