In the hayday of IBM's big mainframe boom, sales reps used to bring clients to an IBM Country Club (now Casperkill Country Club), just outside the doors of the manufacturing plant on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie. After their rounds on the course, they'd retire to the Treasure Chest (now Cappucino by Coppola's) for lunch and drinks. It was a well known tradition.
